The Governor of Ondo State, Rotimi Akeredolu on Tuesday announced the appointment of his son, Babajide Akeredolu as the new Director-General of the Performance and Project Implementation Monitoring Unit (PPIMU).
This was contained in a statement by the Commissioner for Information and Orientation, Donald Ojogo.
Ojogo said the appointment of Babajide came alongside that of 14 commissioners and seven Special Advisers.
The statement reads, “Ondo State Governor, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, SAN, has nominated fourteen new commissioners-designate and seven special advisers.”
“The commissioner nominees are as follows; Bamidele Ademola Olateju (Akoko South East),Otunba Adefarati Gboyega (Akoko South West), Engr. Razaq Obe (Ifedore), Otunba Dele Ologun (Akure North), Sunday Adekunle (Idanre), Olotu Fatai (Akoko North East) and Julianah Oshadahun (Akoko North West).
“Others are Akinlosotu (Ondo East), Banji Awolowo Ajaka (Ilaje), Yetunde Adeyanju (Odigbo), Femi Agagu (Okitipupa), Pastor Emmanuel Igbasan (Irele), Omolola Fagbemi (Ondo West) and Chief Olayato Aribo (Ose).
According to the statement, those nominated for the position of Special Advisers include; Tobi Ogunleye Felix, Ajibayo Adeyeye, Victor Ategbole, Olamide Falana, Wunmi Egbayelo Ilawole, Francis Adedayo Faduyile and Oyeniyi Oseni.
“The names of the nominees, especially the position of commissioner, will be forwarded to the House of Assembly for screening, clearance and confirmation.
“All nominated/appointed persons will be sworn in at a date to be announced later after the necessary legislative processes. Mr Governor wishes all nominated persons the best of luck.”
