The spokesperson for the All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential Campaign Council for the 2023 elections, Festus Keyamo, on Tuesday, denied suing Bola Tinubu, the party’s presidential candidate for certificate forgery, while (Tinubu) he was Lagos State governor.
Keyamo explained he sued the House of Assembly seeking an interpretation of the law.
Keyamo who is also a minister of state, labour and employment was reacting to a claim by Daniel Bwala, a spokesperson for Atiku Abubakar, the presidential candidate of the opposition People’s Democratic Party (PDP).
Bwala on Monday during a programme on Channels Television said Keyamo sued Tinubu during his first-term as Lagos governor for certificate forgery.
Keyamo insisted that Bwala’s claims were “battles we waged” that “were not borne out of bitterness and hate”, saying there was no Supreme Court pronouncement on the issue.
