The Federal Government has started giving out relief materials to flood victims in Imo and Edo States in the Niger Delta region.
The Minister of State for Education, Goodluck Opiah, explained that the initiative aims to help those affected by the 2022 flood. Despite predictions, the flood was particularly severe and caused significant damage to the region’s ecosystem and people’s livelihoods.
In Edo State, the Ministry of Niger Delta Affairs and the National Emergency Management Agency have also distributed relief materials to flood victims to alleviate their suffering.
