On Tuesday evening, suspected criminals targeted Abdullahi Supermarket in One Man Village, near Mararaba in Nasarawa State, resulting in the tragic killing of four customers, including a Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) staff identified as Daniel Adefemi Okunade.
Okunade, identified through his CBN identity card, was fatally shot in the head during the robbery, with three other victims also losing their lives. The incident, characterized by a swift two-minute operation, witnessed the choir master of the Christ Apostolic Church (CAC), who had stopped at the supermarket to buy bread, falling victim to the attackers. While the late Okunade’s Toyota Venza Car remained untouched, the atmosphere in the area turned tense as people gathered to identify the victims.
The police from New Nyayan Divisional Police Station later moved the corpses to the Mararaba Medical Center mortuary. As of the report, no official information had been released by the police regarding the incident. Sympathizers, including church members, converged at the late CBN staff’s residence to offer condolences to the grieving family.
