Civilian authorities in Russia reported on Tuesday that a missile inadvertently struck a Russian village in the Voronezh border region during the recent intense Russian airstrikes on Ukraine.
Preliminary information indicates that seven homes were affected, as Governor Alexander Gusev conveyed through Telegram. Fortunately, no injuries were reported.
The incident occurred in Petropavlovka, located approximately 140 kilometers from northeastern Ukraine. Governor Gusev characterized the occurrence as an “accidental release” of the projectile without specifying the type of weapon.
Unverified videos circulated on social media purportedly showing significant damage to several houses in the village. According to Kiev, Russia conducted multiple waves of attacks on Ukraine on Tuesday, employing combat drones, cruise missiles, and ballistic weapons.
