The Nasarawa State Police Command is currently investigating the abduction of Safiyanu Isa-Andaha, the Chairman of Akwanga Local Government Area, by unidentified gunmen.
The state Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Ramhan Nansel, informed the News Agency of Nigeria in Lafia that the Commissioner of Police, Umar Nadada, has mobilized personnel to pursue the criminals and secure the release of the kidnapped chairman and another individual.
The abduction reportedly occurred around 8:30 p.m. in Ningo village of Akwanga LG. The police, in collaboration with other security agencies, are actively pursuing the kidnappers to ensure the safe release of the council chairman and the second victim.
