The media aide to the former Rivers State Governor Nyesom Wike, Inko-Tariah, has expressed his opinion that the eight-point peace resolution proposed by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is not a legally binding document, but rather a political solution.
His comments follow the state Governor Siminalayi Fubara’s warning to his critics not to underestimate the impact of the peace agreement, which he described as a political solution.
Inko-Tariah, who spoke to reporters in Port Harcourt, compared the resolution to the Aburi Accord, which ultimately led to the Nigerian civil war.
He emphasized that the document is not legally enforceable, but rather a political solution, and if the Governor had presented it as a directive from the President, the people of Rivers State would have resisted.
