The President of the Trade Union Congress (TUC), Festus Osifo, has stated that the Organised Labour is not insisting on any specific amount as the minimum wage. Osifo made this statement on Friday while fielding questions on Channels Television’s
In “The Morning Brief,” Osifo emphasized that labour is open to adjustments, contrary to previous reports suggesting a rigid stance.
Previously, at the end of the Tripartite Committee meeting, the labour had insisted on a minimum wage of N250,000. In contrast, the Federal Government’s representatives and the Organised Private Sector proposed N62,000. President Bola Tinubu has yet to decide on the matter.
