The Zamfara State Government has called on the federal government to take urgent action to address the severe security challenges affecting the state. Governor Dauda Lawal, represented by Commissioner Hon Nasiru Ibrahim Zurmi, made the appeal during a town hall meeting in Gusau. He emphasized the need for the construction of critical infrastructure, including the Gotawa Earth Dam and several federal roads, to enhance development and security in the region.
Lawal highlighted that Zamfara contributed significantly to President Tinubu’s electoral success and criticized the lack of federal projects initiated by the current administration, aside from the ongoing Zaria-Sokoto road construction. He urged the federal government to prioritize the state’s needs and ensure that the voices of Zamfara residents are heard.
