Former PDP spokesman Daniel Bwala has urged President Bola Tinubu to exercise caution when considering nominations for the leadership of the South East Development Commission (SEDC).
Established by a bill signed by Tinubu in July, the SEDC is tasked with overseeing funds for infrastructure and environmental issues in the states of Abia, Anambra, Ebonyi, Enugu, and Imo.
Bwala emphasized the importance of appointing a strong and effective leader who can address the long-standing challenges facing the region. He expressed concerns that the right leadership is crucial for the successful implementation of the commission’s objectives and for fostering development in the South East.
