The Borno State Emergency Management Agency (SEMA) has saved 3,683 people trapped by severe flooding in Maiduguri. Using motorized boats, canoes, and even military trucks and excavators.
SEMA continues its efforts as floodwaters slowly recede. With nearly two million people affected, 14 official camps have been set up to shelter the displaced, alongside informal ones.
Thanks to a N3 billion boost from the Federal Government, spearheaded by President Bola Tinubu, the rescue operation is moving fast—but the scale of the disaster still calls for more action!
