The presidential candidate of the People Democratic Party has stated that if elected the nation’s president on Saturday, he would quickly begin the process of selling off the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation- NNPC- to Nigerians with the means to buy.
According to the former vice president, the NNPC will be sold to provide wider development, maintaining that his decision will reverse an unprofitable trend “as we have at the moment which enables only a few influential Nigerians to feed fat on the nation’s oil resources while the greater majority go empty-handed”.
The former vice president also affirmed that his government will not be run by cabals “as we currently have in Aso Rock under President Buhari’s reign.
According to the PDP chieftain, “the present government of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has inflicted the nation with pain and poverty….and the “the President is not in-charge.”
Speaking on President Muhammadu Buhari’s recent comment on a death penatly for ballot snatchers, Atiku said PDP will not tolerate any form of electoral malpractices nor indulge in acts whatsoever against the electoral law. He was however insistent the order to kill any ballot box snatcher is totally undemocratic.
