President Muhammadu Buhari has condoled with victims of Saturday’s, 23rd of February,2019 electoral violence.
Buhari, speaking after receiving his certificate of return from INEC, the President said “The death of one innocent Nigerian is no less important than the death of a hundred”, adding that, “It is a matter of time before these murderous gangs of criminals meet their Waterloo.”
According to the President, “The criminals cannot be lucky always because the law will ultimately catch up with them and deliver justice ruthlessly.”
The President also expressed satisfaction with the general conduct of the exercise saying “observers both local and the international agree that the election was free and fair… adding that his administration has no other motive but to serve Nigeria. Scores of people reportedly died during the last Saturday’s Presidential and National Assembly elections with the worst hits experienced in Rivers, Lagos and Akwa-Ibom States.
