PDP National Chairman, Uche Secondus says his party has rejected the shift in the dates of the general elections by INEC, describing it as an `act of wickedness’.
Secondus also described the postponement as part of a “grand design by the All Progressives Congress (APC) to thwart the will of Nigerians at all cost”, which he said had clearly exposed the INEC as a failure.
He alleged that the “shoddy arrangement for the elections by INEC was a deliberate predetermined agenda of President Muhammadu Buhari to cling on to power even when it is obvious to him that Nigerians wanted him out”.
He called on the Chairman of the commission, Mahmood Yakubu to resign immediately.
INEC had on Saturday morning shifted the Presidential and National Assembly elections scheduled for Saturday Feb. 16 to Feb. 23, while state elections have also been rescheduled from March 2nd to March 9 citing logistics and operational issues.
