A coalition of Fulani organisations on Friday said the attacked in Kajuru Local Government area of Kaduna State was aimed at exterminating the Fulani Tribes.
The Coalition also said it recorded the killing of 131 Fulani pastoralists in some parts of Kajuru Local Government Area of Kaduna State.
The coalition, comprising five Fulani groups in the state, are demanding justice for the victims.
The Coalition wants the security agencies to commence the process of detailed documentation of the violence, which it termed as genocide.
They said the document must include the collation of exhibits and all relevant information, including videos and photographs, to identify the perpetrators of the violence, arrest and prosecute them for genocide.
Alhassan urged Nigerians and the international community to condemn the killings, while supporting peace loving people to embrace the spirit of brotherhood, peaceful and harmonious co-existence.
Governor El-Rufai, on February 15 had announced that 66 people were killed by “criminal elements” in various dispersed hamlets in Kajuru Local Government.
He however said the death toll had risen to 130 after a meeting with President Muhammadu Buhari during the week.
In another announcement after an extensive meeting with President Muhammadu Buhari and service chiefs on February 19, the governor said the death toll had risen to 130.
The Kaduna State Police Command has however faulted the governor for releasing the casualty figures when police had not concluded its investigations over the incident.
