Abdullahi Babalele, son-in-law to the presidential candidate of the PDP and former vice president of the Federal Republic of Nigeria- Atiku Abubakar- who was arrested by the EFCC in connection with a 150 million Euros money laundering charge has been released.
Tony Orilade- EFCC’s acting spokesperson confirmed that Babalele who was picked up last Saturday at his Maitama residence in Abuja regained his freedom Monday night.
Atiku Abubakar had in a tweet on Sunday decried the continued incarceration of his close associates by various security agencies in the country.
He remained adamant that no amount of intimidation and harassment would deter him from pursuing the restoration of his mandate which he alleged was stolen by the APC and her presidential candidate- Muhammadu Buhari- in the law courts.
