The Osun State Election Petition Tribunal has declared the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Governorship Candidate, Ademola Adeleke as winner of the September 2018 Governorship Election in the State.
Two members of the three-man panel ruled in favour of PDP while the chairman of the panel, Justice Ibrahim Sirajo ruled in favour of APC.
The Tribunal also ordered that 2,029 votes should be deducted from the total votes gathered by the All Progressives Congress (APC) Governorship Candidate, Isiaka Oyetola in the Osun State gubernatorial election held in September 2018.
The Tribunal also ruled that 1,246 votes should also be deducted from the total votes scored by Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Candidate, Nurudeen Adeleke.
The deductions, according to the Tribunal would be made from 17 polling units where there was non-compliance with the election rules.
