The Centre for Democracy and Development (CDD), has called for the reservation of certain leadership positions for women in the 9th National Assembly.
CDD Director, Idayat Hassan said women should be included in some of the leadership positions, adding that the only way to achieve the quest for gender equality is by implementing the 30 per cent provision for gender policy, to boost women representation in the new administration.
Meanwhile, Dayat Hassan said the advocacy group supports the principle of having women occupy 35 per cent of leadership positions and APC must do what’s required to close up the gender gap.
