Many farmers in Nasarawa state are set for the planting season and expect the State and Local Government to start the distribution of fertilisers and other farming inputs to ensure uninterrupted farming.
One of the farmers, John Agu, complained that the government’s untimely distribution of fertilisers would affect their farming activities and good harvest.
The Association of Farmers, also noted that one of the major problems facing farmers, especially rural farmers, is also lack of access to credit facilities and urged the government to consider giving soft loans to farmers to boost food production in the society.
