General practitioner, Victor Fayomi, said that political goodwill and public-private partnerships should be strengthened to end malaria for good.
Fayomi made this remark to mark the World Malaria Day with the year’s theme as “End Malaria for Good’’.
He said that the funding of education, research, vaccine development and other preventive measures, adequate diagnosis and prompt treatment of malaria will put an end to a malaria epidemic.
However, Fayomi said that malaria parasite breeds in dirty surroundings and, there is a need to ensure that there are no stagnant water and bushes in order to prevent the pandemic.
