Stella Emelife Chinelo, a first class graduate of Chemistry from Usman Danfodiyo University, Sokoto, has made Nigeria proud and emerged best graduating student in a masters degree programme, from the University of Mysore, India, with a 9.623% Final Grade point.
University of Mysore is the 6th oldest university in India, one of the Top 50 universities in india and has over 1000 foreign students.
The 29-year-old indigene of Anambra state, who studied a Masters degree in Chemistry, broke the 100-year-old academic record of the university and earned 20 gold medals and 5 cash prizes.
The management of the university of Mysore, has also congratulated Stella, and remarked that this is the first time in years that a foreign student has bagged so many gold medals.
Stella’s alma-matter, Usman Danfodiyo University has also expressed great pride in Chinelo’s stellar academic performance and its belief that other graduates of its institution can replicate Chinelo’s exemplary performance.
Emelife, who is no stranger to academic accolades, was the overall best graduating student of Usman Danfodiyo university with a CGPA of 4.86 in the 2012/2013 academic session.
