Senate President, Bukola Saraki has released the 2018 National Assembly Budget.
Less than 24 hours after he held a meeting with members of BudgIT Nigeria, a civic organization that “raises the standards of transparency and accountability in public finance, Saraki released the budget.
The 45-page document shows that a total of N139,500,000,000 was budgeted for the National Assembly in the year 2018.
Details of the 2018 Nass budget released by Saraki showed that the Senate got N35.6bn while the House of Representatives got N57,5bn.
N10,2bn was budgeted for legislative aides, while the National Assembly office got N15bn and National Assembly Commission N2.7bn.
The National Assembly Legislative Institute got N.3bn while N1.2bn was appropriated for service-wide vote of the Legislature.
