The Senate has amended and passed seven out of 17 bills President Muhammadu Buhari had refused to sign into law.
The bills includes, INEC Amendment Bill, Petroleum Industry Governance Bill, National Institute for Hospitality and Tourism Bill, National Research and Innovation Council Bill, Stamp Duty Act (amendment) Bill, National Agricultural Seed Council Bill and Agricultural Credit Guarantee Scheme Fund Amendment Bill.
The Senate said the bills would be forwarded to the President again for assent.
The Senate also passed the Police Reform Bill. The lawmakers explained that the Police Reform Bill is expected to change the operations and effectiveness of the Nigerian Police in the performance of its law enforcement duties.
The Senate also passed the National Health Insurance Act (Repeal and Re-enactment) Bill.
