Acting Chairman, Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Ibrahim Magu said that the ongoing investigation of Senate President Bukola Saraki was not personal.
Magu said that the commission opened a new investigation into Saraki’s stewardship as the Senate President and his earrings as a governor of Kwara from 2003 to 2011.
He added that the investigation was in the interest of the public and also as part of the due process of the law.
Meanwhile, Sakari reacted that seizing his personal property under pretence of being subject investigation is described as a witchhunt.
However, the acting chairman of EFCC said that the commission is obligated by law investigate without malicious intention against anyone.
