Unidentified gunmen killed two people and injured a 7-month-old baby at Maiyanga village of Miango district of Bassa LGA, in Plateau state.
The Plateau State Police Command identified those killed as Jummai Jah, 25 and Emmanuel Ishaya, 37.
“Also, a 7-month-old baby, Tabitha, survived the attack with serious cuts on her neck. She is currently receiving treatment at Enos Hospital, Mango.”
Police said 319 cattle were on Tuesday attacked, out of which 12 were killed while 11 were rustled by unknown gunmen at Billi and Ariri villages of Miango.
The Senate summoned the Acting Inspector-General of Police, Mohammed Adamu to appear before it on Tuesday over the spate of killings and kidnapping in Nigeria.
The acting IGP had at a different forum disclosed over 1,000 people have been killed and 685 kidnapped in first quarter of 2019.
