A Nigerian, Ernest Ezeajughi has been elected as the new Mayor for Brent for 2019-20.
Ezeajughi, who hails from Anambra State became the First Citizen of Brent at the Annual Meeting of Brent Council’s Mayor Making Ceremony which took place at Brent Civic Centre.
He bagged his bachelor’s degree in Science at the Nnamdi Azikiwe University and his Masters at Kings College of London.
Ezeajuhi, who had worked for several organisations since moving to the UK in 2004 is expected to support two charities during his year in office: Sickle Cell Society and Jason Roberts Foundation.

He expressed delight for being honoured with the appointment expressing hope to be able to work with all of Brent’s rich and diverse communities.
“I look forward to raising money for my two amazing local charities for the year.”
The London Borough of Brent is a London borough in north west London, and forms part of Outer London.
The major areas are Wembley, Kilburn, Willesden, Harlesden and Neasden.
