Speaker of House Representative Yakubu Dogara said that Nigeria would only attain full civilisation by winning the war against violence.
Dogara said this during ’Nzem Berom’, the annual cultural festival of Berom people of Plateau.
He said that the violence that enveloped Nigeria must be curbed in order to achieve civilisation.
He added that police stations, roads, buildings, hospitals and schools have all been destroyed in the violent attacks.
Dogara said that weapons of war could not bring peace; rather, peace is achieved by brotherhood.
