The Minister of Labour, Chris Ngige has confirmed that the Federal Government has crossed the major hurdles and is beginning to pay the new minimum wage.
While speaking in Enugu, he said that the first set of workers that have started receiving their N30,000 as the new minimum wage are juniors workers from levels 1 to 6.
He added that the main issue at stake was the executive cadre of Grades 7 to 17, which required a consequential adjustment that needed to be negotiated.
