Bayern Munich have signed French forward Michael Olise from Crystal Palace, the German giants announced on Sunday.
German magazine Kicker reported Bayern paid a release clause of 70 million euros ($75 million) to the Premier League club to secure Olise’s services on a five-year deal. Olise is Bayern’s second summer transfer after Hiroki Ito and has signed a contract that keeps him at the club through June 2029
The French international prefers to play on the right wing. Olise scored 10 goals and provided six assists in 19 Premier League appearances last season, helping Crystal Palace secure a top-ten finish in England’s top flight.
Bayern’s new arrival started his youth career at Arsenal before moving to city rivals Chelsea at the age of seven. After seven years with the Blues, Olise had a short spell with Manchester City before signing with Reading.
