Former Super Eagles striker Sone Aluko has been named as one of the first-team coaches of newly promoted English Premier League side Ipswich Town.
The 35-year-old retired from football at the end of last season having scored four goals in 62 appearances for the Blues and has been handed a first-team role after completing the required coaching course.
During his career, Aluko represented numerous clubs including Aberdeen, Rangers, Hull City, and Fulham before arriving at Portman Road in 2021.
Aluko scored four goals in 62 appearances for the Blues. He was one of 10 Ipswich players to start a bespoke UEFA B coaching course provided by the PFA last year and spent a lot of last season helping the analysis team.
