Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike has expressed happiness that the Real Madrid Football Academy has been set up in Port Harcourt City, saying that the major international football stars will be trained at the facility.
Wike said that all the facilities have been put in place for the successful take off of the Academy while expecting the Real Madrid’s administrator in charge of Africa and Asia for the commissioning on Saturday.
The state government has however sent people to Madrid to be trained as instructors and coaches. As well as the players of Banham Model Primary School, winners of Channels Television Kids Cup to Madrid grooming them as the first set of students .
